The model over and over again I saw Gail Dines stand up for, at a conference in Boston, she moved the audience to tears with her statement of the problems caused next to porn, and provoked laughing with her sharp observations about pornographers themselves. Activists in the audience were newly inspired, and men at the conclusion – many of whom had on no account viewed porn as a disturbed in the vanguard – queued up afterwards to pawn their support.
